专业领域：天然产物提取及应用，植物单宁化学与加工，植物源食品质量与加工

 主持国家十一五科技支撑项目、国家自然科学基金、科技部农业成果转化项目、国家林业局948技术引进项目、国家林业局成果推广项目、中国林科院所基金项目、江苏省自然科学基金和科技攻关项目等10多项，从事林产化学与加工、植物活性物的高效提取、分离、化学结构、生物活性物的药学、药理和药效研究及其功能产品开发，包括了植物提取物化学、植物单宁化学与加工、保健功能食品化学与加工和天然资源化学转化与利用的研究。在国内多个省建立了植物提取物生产企业，均获得良好的经济和社会效益。国家发明专利12项，发表学术论文60多篇。
